The Boyd School is deeply committed to working to partnership with parents. We recognize that parents are a child's first teacher and that parents know their children better than anyone. We feel parents select our school and the Montessori method of education because they are committed to their child and want the best that education has to offer their child. At the Boyd School we are honored when parents select our school and trust that we are both working toward a common goal-the education of their child.

Our school has an "open door" policy and we encourage parents to spend time with their child in the classroom environment. We offer "parent education" nights to help parents better understand the Montessori method, their child's temperament, learning style, and developmental needs in relation to family and school dynamics.

The Boyd School encourages parents to share their time and talents with the children of the school. Our parents help develop and sponsor events that enhance the life of the school.
