About Us
The Boyd School, A Montessori Children's House, is fully accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services and is owned and operated by The Boyd School Corporation. Owners and members of the boards are MaryAnn Boyd and Tim Beckworth. The Boyd School Corporation purchased a Montessori school in the basement of a Reston, Virginia church in 1994. The school has grown from its two classroom, 45 students beginnings, to five school campuses serving children and families in Reston, Chantilly, Fairfax, Herndon and Broadlands.
