December is a great time of joy at The Boyd School. The diverse community at The Boyd School celebrate the Holiday season with musical performances and special presentations. Parents, Grandparents and neighbors are all invited to the delightful performances where the children sign and dance to traditional music.
The children at the Fairfax Campus brought to the forefront an increased awareness of virtues this year when they recited a special virtue and how it influences their character. The virtues included friendliness, joyfulness, peacefulness, helpfulness, generosity and kindness. As one child put it….virtues make us feel good about ourselves!
From reindeer to toy soldiers, from Hannukah to gingerbread, the children were exposed to customs from around the world during the month. Developing a strong community of parent, students and staff enhances the work of The Boyd School, but nothing creates a smile quite like a tasty treat or two. |
