The Boyd School is always looking for exceptional people to join our staff. We know that it takes a great staff to make a great school. We take applications/resumes year round. Our head teachers must be Montessori certified. Our classroom assistants, before and after school staff should have some experience working with children and a sincere desire to learn more about the Montessori method of education. Position: Primary School Teacher

Job Duties: Responsible for arranging and maintaining an organized, orderly environment responsive to the needs of the children. Responsibilities will include monitoring the safety and well being of the children; observing and diagnosing each child's needs, motivational patterns, potentialities, strengths and weaknesses and the chart each student's progress in the group; and, keep current progress records and conference notes. Teach the Montessori curriculum which includes music, arts, math, crafts, physical education and language. Participate in parent education programs. Responsible for keeping an inventory of teaching materials for the classroom. Have a solid understanding of human development and have the ability to reflect on own observations and to individualize the curriculum to the needs of each child. Provide a solid academic foundation in education, employing the philosophy and materials developd by Dr. Montessori. Provide a child-centered environment that emphasizes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the child. Assist the child in developing a positive self-image and fostering, satisfying personal relationships. Provide a warm, secure and rich environment in which curious young children have the opportunity to develope a favorable attitude towards learning.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field. A functionally equivelant combination of education, training and/or experience will satisfy this degree requirements.

Special Skills: Must have completed MACTE accredited Montessori training program.

Salary: $35,858.00/year; 40 hours/week; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position: Resource Coordinator 

Job Duties: The Resource Coordinator is responsible for managing tuition collection for six campuses, processing new enrollments in FACTS, processing program changes—recalculating tuition and update FACTS, processing withdrawals—calculating tuition owed and cancel FACTS enrollment.  This individual will also execute the Financial Scholarship Program annually, provide advice and guidance to the Directors of Admissions, serve as the Contact Point for MyMontessori.Net (an internet-based program used for tracking student progress and lesson planning), and serve as the Contact Point for Alert Now! (a rapid notification system used to communicate with parents and staff).  The Resource Coordinator will process all invoices for payments for all campuses, submit budget data to owners of school on annual basis, assist the Campus Director’s with budget allocation, track the budget for teacher spending and field trips, develop and implement administrative procedures for the admissions process.  This individual will also keep executive management informed of any financial matters and provide training to new Directors of Admissions when necessary. 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent in a related field.  Previous work experience with spreadsheets and financial calculations.

Special Skills: Must be proficient in MS Office Software to include Excel, Word. 

Salary: Commensurate with experience
