Year- Round Programs

The Boyd School offers a Year-Round Program for consistency and a continuation of the Montessori philosophy of learning. Much like the three-year cycle, it provides children with developmental stability; the Year-Round program creates a steady educational environment for uninterrupted progression.

Q. Where will the Year Round Programs be offered?

A. ALL campuses will offer year round options

Q. What Programs and ages will be offered in the Year Round format?

A. Early Childhood/Primary, Kindergarten, Lower & Upper Elementary and Middle School - children ages 3 years and above. Currently, we will NOT be offering Year Round options for those enrolled in the Toddler programs at Boyd School Campuses. Lola's Place (Cascades and Herndon Campuses) will continue to offer Year Round programs for toddlers.

Q. When is the deadline for enrolling in the Year Round Programs?

A. The Year Round Programs will have a rolling enrollment as space permits. The Year Round Program will begin on June 28, 2010.

Q. Who will teach the Year Round Program?

A. A credentialed Montessori teacher will lead the program. Please understand that there will be times when a substitute teacher may need to be used.

Q. Will the Year Round Program still have "breaks?"

A. Yes, the Year Round Programs will have a Winter and an abbreviated Spring Break as well as In-Service Break at the end of summer.
